The Oriental Hotel/Resort - Legazpi

The Oriental Hotel/Resort - Legazpi City.

if you're visiting legazpi and you want a clean and comfortable place to stay i highly recommend The Oriental, addition to that, this hotel's rooms has some of the best views around! (depending on the location of your room that is)

As for us we stayed at the Deluxe Mayon Queen Room (Php 5000,00.) , so we got to lay our eyes upon the beautiful Mayon Volcano. stunning isn't it? and the room was pretty clean and spacious (no picture of it tho) so i was one happy camper! :)

i'd give the view

 And if you're hungry and too lazy to leave the hotel, don't worry, the hotel has a restaurant. (The Jasmine Restaurant) located on the ground floor, beside the lobby lounge. but i must warn you. it's not cheap. but it's kind of worth it? depends on your order.

i ordered fish tacos (Php 250.00++) 

this tasted really good, though it's kinda hard to eat it, because it literally falls apart. but nonetheless. it's pretty good.

iced coffee (Php 150.00 ++) , not that bad. could have been better though.

Oreo Smoothie (Php 200.00 ++) i didn't taste this one.

Seafood Kare-Kare (i think?) (Php 400.00 +) i didn't like it. the squid was hard to chew and it tasted really bland.

The Next Morning!! we decided to check out the pool, though we didn't swim, because none of us brought extra clothes with us, oh well! 

And They also give you free breakfast vouchers. it will be given to you immediately after checking in, before you go to your room. 

their breakfast is your typical local filipino breakfast which includes:

rice,longganisa,eggs,hotdog,tocino,etc.

i'd rate their breakfast

Max's Restaurant- Legazpi City

Last Summer, my sister came here to the philippines to spend her summer vacation. as usual, she's gonna stay here for a month and then off to dubai again to work. 

my sister decided to treat my cousins. so after hours and hours of thinking we decided to eat at max's restaurant. been a while since i ate here. because one time, we ate here on my sister's graduation and it was horrific, because the chicken that they served us was RAW. really disgusting. but i think they deserve a second chance. so let's see!!

first thing we ordered was Pancit Canton 

Small (Php 149.00)

Regular (Php 215.00)

it tasted bland and i didn't hate it neither loved it. so meh??

Lumpiang Shanghai-on the left

tasted like your normal lumpiang shanghai. which is a good thing(?) i guess.

Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet-on the right

same with the lumpiang shanghai. tasted like sweet and sour fish fillet, nothing special here.

this was really gross. i didn't like any of these bastards!! really horrible. by far the worst kinds of desserts that i have ever tried. especially their buko pandan (no picture of it though, but it was included on their dessert sampler) it tasted like piss. really sh*tty. FFUUU...

Small Talk Cafe - A Modern Twist In Bicol Cuisine

Small Talk Cafe, is a small cafe that serves you bicol cuisine with a twist.

 for starters. my sister ordered cheese sticks (Php 110.00) . i know they don't look like sticks at all but nonetheless. it tasted surprisingly good, despite its pale presentation.

i'd give it

Next Up, i ate my dessert first. :P, i was pretty excited to taste it too. Pili Pie (Php 45.00) !! :)

i love pili on its own but pili infused with pie? this i gotta try! 

sadly, it lacked that "pili" feeling. i don't hate it, i don't love it either. so it's a "meh" for me.

i also ordered "Pasta Mayon" (Php95.00)  it's a ravioli kind of, type of  pasta? stuffed with "laing" with some kind of tomato sauce i think. it tasted really bland. and boring. i was really disappointed.

Next on the menu is their Shrimp Croquettes (Php 140.00)  THIS! i loved. it tasted really good :) i almost ate it all! but my sister loved it too. so i ate 2 and my sister also ate 2, and i gave my sister the last piece.T^T.

Activities to do when you're in Legazpi city (Philippines) - ATV

Legazpi City, Albay. Home to the ever majestic Mayon Volcano. of course. you expect me to know a lot about things related to legazpi, mayon volcano,etc. but. sadly i don't. but i do know, on how to have a great day! :)

When you're in legazpi. i suggest you go on the ATV Mayon tour. you or your group. will have 2-3 tour guides, they will teach you on how to drive your ATV(s)- >All Terrain Vehicle< and yes! you get to ride your own. but be careful! it's fun and exciting. and i gotta admit. i felt pretty badass when i drove my own ATV. :D Highly Recommended!
